About Me

I am an adventurer on my own version of a walkabout. I left behind all my people and my life and home where I lived off and on for 30 years. Stepping into the world in a new way. For me it is a very spiritual journey and full of mystery. I have no plan of where to go and if and when to return. Practicing trust.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It is a brand new type of adventure. My wandering is not just about going new places but meeting new people and trying new things. I would love to see what it is like and meet amazing people.

Interests

I love music - right now really in love with Alt-J and Polica. I adore Andrew Bird. I just discovered SBTRKT - adore Higher by them.

Deep conversation is my bread and butter. I love connecting and delving into things with others.

I have been highly involved with Men's work through the Mankind Project. I really enjoy men's groups and hope to sit as a guest in other circles while I travel.

When I am not penny pinching I love indulging in the finer things. Wine, Whiskey, gourmet food are all things I enjoy.

I love reading aloud to people. It is kind of a new favorite hobby. Brought a lot of books with me.

This walkabout is really my main focus. Been writing a blog about it at www.ablessedwanderer.com.

Music, Movies, and Books

Ah! I dived in a bit to this earlier! Reading the "Book of Mirdad" - more like being torn open by it. Loving the anthology of Cabinet Magazine I borrowed from my brother for this trip.

Movies: Brazil, Hook, The Big Lebowski, Lars Von Trier, Michel Gondry. "The Look of Silence" blew me away at Telluride last year but actually movies aren't holding much interest for me these days.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Slept outside completely alone in the wild under the stars last full moon surrounded by the baying of Coyotes.

Teach, Learn, Share

This is what I do. I love to share productive space with people. For me that is a space of personal(r)evolution. I love to share what I know about soul centric discovery and ways of moving through life. I like diving deep and inviting people to join me. I love hearing people's stories and then sharing their universe with me. I think every being has a divine aspect.

I love to learn. I have so much to learn it is staggering AND I utterly believe that mystery surrounds everything.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook. Happy to share experiences, stories, laughs and perspectives. I also love to exchange gifts with people when the impulse is present. I enjoy making bracelets and Malas from stone beads.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, Mexico, Virgin Islands, British
