Overview
About Me
I grew up in southern Ontario with a passion for art and music. Regrettably the scene in Cambridge, Ontario couldn't quite scratch that itch for me so I set my sights elsewhere. After trying multiple times to try and plant roots somewhere new, I eventually found myself in Vancouver. I've been here for 3.5 years now and though it's certainly been a challenge to build a new life from the ground up, I finally feel comfortable calling it home.
I'm a jack-of-all-trades and master of...some of those trades. I have interests everywhere from sports to video games, writing to rock climbing, karaoke to Dungeons and Dragons... I make music, draw pictures, run miles, drink beer--I'm a free spirit in a cautious but ambitious shell who loves to learn, loves to explore, loves to meet new people, and loves to take risks...most of the time.

Music, Movies, and Books
My spotify playlists would confuse you. I'll listen to anything from K'naan to Kpop.
I'm the same with movies, but a few standouts are: The Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Death to Smoochy, Clue, Dear Frankie, Paper Man, Ex Machina...
Don't read as much as I'd like to, but Cormac McCarthy's The Road is one of my favourites. Salem's Lot is up there too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went on an outreach trip to Nicaragua when I was 14--volunteered in soup kitchens, cleaned up garbage, gave out clothes/groceries, that sort of thing.
We ran a fair of sorts for one of the poorer towns and while the locals were more than happy to try our innocuous carnival games, they were also pretty excited to share a few of theirs. I can go into more detail in person, but essentially many of these activities involved tearing live animals apart and keeping whatever you could get your hands on to feed your family. It was...a learning opportunity.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to draw, and I love learning new languages.
I love exploring too, but I'm better at it with other people. If there's someplace you've been dying to check out, take me with you!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories. And I'm a great listener--is that weird to say?
I am an excellent dinner guest or drinking buddy, as well as a moderately effective wingman, but maybe don't rely on me too much for that last one.
