Here is a great recipe for homemade ginger ale:

A pot of water
Put 5 bits of chopped up ginger
3 Tablespoons of lemon juice
a cup of orange juice
2 cups of sugar

bring to boil and simmer for 45 minutes.

let cool.

add 1/4 teaspoon of active yeast

stir in and let dissolve.

Bottle with a tight seal.

Let stand for 24 hours.

You just made your own carbonated ginger ale!
