ABOUT ME

I have had about 40 jobs in life so far, but all I've wanted to do since I graduated college is write. I went about it wrong at first and have supported myself by making computers work, but by sticking with it I was recently hired as an intern for a production company.

I cover a few screenplays a week while I'm working on my own stuff and it's been going really well. I enjoy giving people feedback that I had a difficult time getting at the beginning of my career. I recently posted some short stories and screenplays for free download at my website and that was a big step for me, I have a lot of difficulty deciding which foot to put forward sometimes.

Aside from, or combined with, taking words and computers seriously, I am also a musician. I play drums and write songs, I could put on a pretty decent cover show around a campfire if I had to. That doesn't come up very often though. I've also been an instructor and if there were a big boom in music education right now I might be doing that as a day job.

I have had a difficulty since graduating as I find it difficult to fight for anything tooth and nail, whether to get the job or keep it. It's a recurring theme with me, where I could get it if I was just more dishonest or vicious than the next guy, and I just can't ever get myself to do it. I don't think Americans should be at each others' throats for their basic needs, fortunately I've always found a way to get by, even if it means I will never pay off my student loans.

I'm really just getting started, it is something that I believe in though, so as I become more successful I will want to give back. I think free association and travel is important to society and the CS project helps us live up to these ideals.
