Resumen
Sobre mí
CURRENT MISSION
to achieve a more balanced life, to keep learning and growing
ABOUT ME
I started out to become a professor of philosophy, but wound up as a journalist instead. After 22 years at a newspaper in Minneapolis, I left to work full-time for the Twin Cities Media Alliance, a non-profit media organization. I left that job in 2015. At the age of 50, I married the love of my life, Carol. I have a son, Micha, who lives in Vienna, Austria.
PHILOSOPHY
We make the road by walking.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I last couchsurfed (with people I didn't know) 40 years ago, when I backpacked around the world. In Turkey, Iran and Japan, people invited us to stay in their homes or in their yards.
Intereses
I have discovered that food is a great way of making connections and bridging the distance between cultures. I was the restaurant critic for a newspaper for many years, and continue to enjoy exploring restaurants and markets.
I also enjoy cycling and movies, especially foreign films.
