How I actually got into contact with couch surfing:

It was a sunny day in Winter 2012/13 when I met a couch surfer (Elise) in our restaurant!

She was super cool and a passionate skier. So I took her around the slopes the next day to show her my hometown.
The following night she needed accommodation, so I grabbed a mattress and some clean sheets! We cooked dinner and had some beers which she brought from her previous destination.
Asking here if she stays at "stranger's places" often, she explained me all about the concept of couch surfing.
