Music, Movies, and Books
I like good music of almost all genres. Some of my favorite movies are The Way of the Gun, Search of the Holy Grail, The Thing, Dark City, and interesting documentaries. My favorite authors are probably Roald Dahl and Dr. Suess.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While hiking in the Basque Country of Spain I saw my companion dislocate her kneecap and procede to tumble down a rocky slope with her pack on before stopping a mere 5 feet from a 40-50 foot ledge. I ended up giving her a piggy-back ride down to the road, which was luckily only about 20 minutes below. I had more adrenaline than I ever have and we both concluded that I was more scared than she who was not preocupied with the cliff at the time.
Teach, Learn, Share
I´ll give you a shocking statistic:
Although it´s impossible to know for sure how many species go extinct each year (mostly from deforestation), estimates I´ve found range from 27,000 to 100,000! out of the estimated 10 million total species on earth. Sorry to be depressing, I´m usually not. I just think it´s important to be aware.
