About Me

I grew up in the Philippines and was fortunate enough to get a scholarship to study in Colorado. I'm a senior now and have 1 year left to travel the US before I head home! I enjoy travelling and being in the great outdoors. I hike and camp a lot and have a passion for photography.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I found out about it through a friend from school. I signed up 2 years ago but I haven't really used it. From what he tells me, it's a great way to travel and meet new people!

I love exploring new places and as an amateur photographer, I am excited to see what each location has to offer. Reading through people's bios, I see that it is a great community to be a part of and I want to be a part of this community.

I live in a dorm right now so hosting isn't an option at the moment, but I would love to start hosting once I get back to the Philippines!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love going to see live music. I like the indie scene but I love listening and learning about other genres. As a musician, I grew up playing punk rock, pop hits, and some acoustic versions of hit songs, so I don't just stick to the music I usually listen to.

I love movies, especially ones that play with the imagination. Because I'm an astronomy enthusiast, The Martian is one of my favorite movies, but I am a sucker for a good RomCom.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On a spring break trip, my friends and I hiked to the Colorado River at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. We did it as a day hike and ran out of water on the way back. It was a gruelling hike but we managed to get back after 12 hours.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you're interested, I can teach you some basic Tagalog. If you have a guitar or a drumset, I can teach you how to play or we can just jam! Maybe we can play some basketball too!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer hosts some good stories, a lesson in/a perspective from Philippine culture, and that I will treat their homes with the utmost respect. I haven't cooked in awhile but I can offer a home-cooked Filipino meal.
