About Me

I was born in a lovely city called Montpellier and was raised in a precious and quiet area farther north ("les Cevennes") .
I came back to Montpellier for the studies.
Apart from scientific stuffs I learned how to be a respectful man of the South of France. In other words : "respecter les coutûmes et les traditions". That involves singing some naughty songs when you are drunk and know how to play pétanque !
Basically all I need to feel home is to be under a pine tree , hearing the song of cicados with a "mauresque" ( drink with Pastis ), nothing more.
At that time I was trying to save some money by working as an holiday camp tutor during summer. It was perfect because I was able to discover new landscapes (Alpes ,Corsica, Greece ) ,entertain a bunch of lads while saving a bit of money.
After that I was ready to leave my territory to discover other southern cities. I ended up in Toulon and then Toulouse. The reason why I went to Toulon is only because it is the sunniest place in France. Otherwise I was not much attracted by its ambient. Toulouse Instead, was a city full of charm, where you can feel the warmth of its people. Maybe that's why I have visited two third of the bars :). Plus it is an aeronautic capital ( this is the serious reason that I found to live there )
After these new french cities I felt the need to go abroad.
I was keen to learn a new language and wanted to live the erasmus experience in a vibrant city of europe. This was a good surprise to discover the ambiant of Milan and his famous aperitivo :)
After I graduated with an engineering degree I found my 1st job in the outskirts of Paris. It was an opportunity to discover the french capital and to save money. Then I had the means to undertake my airline pilot training and I chose Montréal for its good quality of life and the high density of aeronautical companies present there.
I decided to dig deeper into the subject and added the flight instructor qualification. Now i'm working as flight instructor to build solid piloting skills and eventually reach a position of airline pilot in the coming years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am definetely feeling the love to share.
That can be a beer , a moment messing around with other fellows or even a good meal.
I think it is the best way to connect with people . It is part of my culture.
I have been raised in France within a Venezuelian atmosphere .
It means eating a lot of nice specialties from south america and hearing salsa all along my childhood :)
My curiousity has pushed me to discover a lot of different fields and cultures and I'm always interested in knowing the way of life in the other countries.
I am the kind of person who tries to see the best out of everybody I meet. Sometimes it's difficult when you meet a jerk but I keep trying anyway !
That's why I feel at ease on couchsurfing and believe to be a citizen of the planet instead of being just french.

Interests

I don't feel attached to specifically one activity. I prefer to devote time to a bunch of activity in order to learn from different fields. All these field bring a brick to my knowledge and help me to have a wider view of the world.
That's why I was involved in Acting, practicing jujitsu, playing guitare, playing volley bal , playing football and ping pong.
During my engineering school I had the opportunity to create and manage an humanitarian association which aim was to bring some supports to a small village near Kara (Togo) .
I have also dedicated too much time to party, it's my addiction : Ihave been to Oktoberfest, San fermin, Sziget and numerous other festivals.
I am always excited to discover the ambient of a new country. This thrill conducted me to organize two interails where I have tasted a bunch of european cities culture !
I'm found of aeronautic in general. I would look like a child, when a plane passes over, who couldn't stop gazing this magic scene for some minutes.
Regularly people try to make me smoke weed but I always come with this answer : "Guys I don't need that to get high I need a ride on a glider !!! That will remain the best solution ever :)
Actually my dream is to become a pilot and I am definetely following the path to make it.
I grew up trying to open to the more music culture I could . It ranges from heavy hip hop sound like house of pain to pleasant symphony like yann tiersien.
I 'm eclectic regarding music but I admit that I like hearing and dancing salsa : Pa bailar que ya es tiempo !!
