ABOUT ME

I'm a first generation American citizen who served 4 years in the United States Air Force. Most of my immediate family live in the Dominican Republic, though.
I love Latin languages, I'm interested in learning from different cultures and meeting new people.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a bible believing Christian.
My whole life revolves around this faith and depends on the Word of God.

I'm currently surfing and have only hosted family and friends, but will consider hosting others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed at Jude's place in Chicago, Illinois while also traveling with him, Mina, Alyssa, and my sister.
Had a nice experience with Frederic who had an extra room with a queen size bed as well as a pool he offered me to use in Samana, Dominican Republic.
Traveled and surfed with my good friend, Orestes in Santo Domingo, DR.

Interests

Intrigued by different cultures, history and various philosophies.
I enjoy playing handball (city style), board games, dominoes, spades, texas hold'em, black jack and other card & dice games. I love watching professional sports like baseball, soccer, basketball, boxing, hockey and football.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love foreign films like City of God, Cantinflas, Y tu mama también, and Run Lola Run. I enjoy music that inspires me to worship, lifts my spirit, motivates me to do something positive, that is witty and/or makes me think. Books that have inspired me include Snow Falling on Cedars, The Catcher in the Rye, Lie of the Tithe, works by Shakespeare and Postmodern Christianity & the Reconstruction of the Christian Mind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled all of Central America in a year, skipping Belize, but I came back to it in a cruise later.
Rode my bike for more than 35 miles around NYC.
Did a segway tour in Chicago, Illinois.

I've always been good at spelling, love proper grammar, and would like to learn Italian, Portuguese, Romanian and have conversations in French.
