ABOUT ME

Non-smoker, flexitarian (sometimes I serve fried insects!) and obsessed by plants and beasts.
Work as an applied ecologist at Natuurpunt, the biggest nature conservation organisation in Flanders. Bit of alternative way of living (and couchsurfing fits perfect in it!) Not as good as a listener, much better as a talker ;-)
Live together with my sister and her boyfriend.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couchsurfed in Spain, France, Denmark, Czech republic and Portugal untill now, but want to travel the entire earth and hitchhike in every country!

I'd like to host people in our small house in Ghent

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with Lorea and Margaux in Salamanca and Bordeaux respectively.
I met Leonardo in Salamanca and Margot in Bordeaux.
Slept at Adeline's place in Paris after a birthday party.

I had an amazing time with Karoline in Kobenhavn.
I met Jennifer and some others guys on a couch surf meeting in Christiania, Kobenhavn

Ended fifth in the hitchhiking contest from Ghent to Paris.

I spended some nice days with Josien and Fernando in Praha and Lisboa respectively.

Stayed at Michaela's place in Bingen am Rhein. Met Adelina, Alina and Lina through her.

Hosted Carla for some days in Ghent and spend some nice time with her 'round.

Hosted and had some beers with Giulia. Loved discussing penis-sized peppers with her. HH to Eindhoven to stay some days at her place. Keepin' the balance, you know.

I love any kind of good music and love many different styles: from traditional folk to reggae and dub,from dubstep to goa, from Dire Straits to Balkan Beatbox, from Goran Bregovic to Infected Mushroom, from Damian Marley to Metallica, from Dunkelbunt to Chinese man... Very fond 'bout Macklemore and Biga Ranx recently. And don't forget electroswing, drum 'n bass, reggaeton or dancehall.
Recently discovered a pure love for triphop.

When I was a kid a read many books. I went to the library forthnightly. I think I read everything from Rohald Dahl for at least three times but I've also read a lot of Dutch and Flemish authors. Nowadays I'm reading fantasy (Tolkien, Jean M Auel,Elizabeth Haydon, Robin Hobb and even Harry Potter). Read 'Into the wild' from Jon Krakauer and really loved it!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Partying with some climate activists in the center of Christiania, Kobenhavn while tear gas bombs explode near us and police riots are going on some meters away...

Conquering the Via Algarviana, a 300 km walk through the 'deserts' of the Algarve. I walked it on my own and in september, so during very hot weather. Didn't really enjoyed it. Just loved it!

Hitchhiked in 12 european countries for over 46.000 kms for the last 4.5 years...
