CURRENT MISSION

working on the Volkswagen kever from 1970. To see if its possible to travel myself using couchsurfing not as a host but as travelar. My plan is to travel from the middle of France (Autun) to the south (Montpellier).

ABOUT ME
My name is Jeroen, living in the Centre of Rotterdam, near Kralingse bos. I have lots of holiday's because i work on a secondary school. I like to give people a nice experience to be their host and show you around the City.
If they are happy it makes me happy to. I have a nice new built appartment near Centre and the park/ Kralingse bos. 3 rooms i live there by myself. I dont have an age preference. People of my own age but also people who ar older of younger the me . For me age doesn't matter. Its the open mind set and energy that does matter ! i recently been to a hippi festival in Utrecht and done a cuddle workshop, i liked it haha
I am sociable but sometimes i like to be on my own and do my technical hobby;s. I Like people how are honest with good intentions no double agenda and not to 'popiejopie' egoistic and loudly speaking.

I like to show you the city and can pick you up in ancient Volkswagen Kever (built in 1970) . It has no airbags and no computer but i am a good save driver/chauffeur !

PHILOSOPHY

a beter open world begins with yourself, be open, honest and nice and you will meet good people and have a good time. If not i can have a good time being alone as well. Cheers and see you !.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like the idea of sharing and hospitality with strangers with no obligations or strings attached. The adventure of meeting a stranger from a different culture.
Being host and travel as open minded and positive. I, want to meet people in real as a host. I was born before there was internet and mobile phones (before milenium) which means i am not a man who is always online whith mobile and pc. I like socializing in restaurant or bar or do some other adventures new things to get in touch with new people. I like to drive people around the city in my very old beatle in or near Rotterdam for instance to Kinderdijk on the ferry from Krimpen a/d Lek across the water. Or go to the beach and enjoy the sun in summertime.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was born before everybody is 24/7 online with facebook/ internet etc and there was no couchsurfingsite yet but i have simular ''couchsurfing experiences ''when i was 22 with people on interrail and also whith autostop in France, Switzerland. Italy, Poland, Russia, Greece, over europe. I want to recover some of the same spirit of this oldskool pre internetexperiences.

Interessi

Restaurating/fixing old mopeds and my car its very old so thats why it takes more attention/care Its a passion to work on old machines and make them as good as new. With mopeds i do this since i was 15 years old.
Musik going out in Rotterdam nightlife, inline speedskating, race bike, sauna ,relax and read in the sun and nature. Hiking in nature sometimes climbing and so on, vacation=freetime=fun !
