Overview
About Me
Hi there, my name is Jeroen from The Netherlands. As I have traveled a fair bit myself but have settled down for now, I would like to open my doors to travelers in Holland! Would love to host people from all over the world regardless of gender, religion, sexuality etc.! During the week I am working in Rotterdam as an engineering consultant, so I won't be home during office hours. I have an housemate (and best friend/former traveller) as well who studies in Leiden. I am creative and love to play the guitar. Also I am rarely late :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting people, sharing stories and good vibes. Couchsurfing helps to get you a different perspective on places and cultures.
Interests
Meeting new people while traveling the world/ playing my guitar and writing songs/ any outdoor activity such as hiking, skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, yoga, mountain gazing/ reading and writing poetry (absolutely love haiku)/ comedy!
Music, Movies, and Books
My music interest ranges from jazz to reggae to blues to electronic.. Really I just dig anything that gets to me on a deeper level.
Favorite book: The Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouac.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Working as a cowboy in the Australian outback! I lived with a farmers family and my job was to ride my horse in order to lead cattle from one field to the other. An exceptional experience that beats any cowboy movie!
Teach, Learn, Share
My passion is playing guitar (and harmonica) and I am always excited about teaching this to anyone who is interested. Also, I could help improving English skills or teach you some Dutch.
Would love to share and express talents with others.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I got some good jokes.
