Overview
About Me
Hi!
I'm Jerom, a passionate engineer-architect.
I got triggered to work abroad by participating in an exchange program to Shanghai, China during my studies and somehow ended up in Fukuoka, Japan, spent 6 months working there and recently moved to Shanghai.
I'm always open for new experiences and always try to push myself out of my comfort zone, as I'd like to do with the people around me. I'm active, love the outdoors and consider myself to be spontaneous and open minded.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
1. Get the local experience
2. Get to meet new people with different types of cultures and backgrounds and be able to learn from our differences.
3. Simply having fun with the people I meet.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Hiphop and Techno, but please convince me with your favorite songs of any other genre.
Movies: last favorite: "Manbiki kazoku" (shoplifters) - Hirokazu Koreeda
Books: Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid - Douglas R. Hofstadter, used to read a lot as a kid as we never owned a TV at home. I'd like to read more than I currently do.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could share anything about Belgian life. I'd be happy to show you around in my hometown Ghent and guide you to the local spots. Pol van't dreupelkot is already looking forward to our visit.
If we're talking skills on the go I'd be happy to teach a crash course dutch.
