About Me

Hi!
I am currently doing a European Voluntary Service in Komotini, Greece, ad will be doing so until March 2018. Apart from that, I am from Belgium, which might explains why I'm so keen on traveling. Discovering new places and meeting new people from all around the world is what I enjoy the most, but apart from that, I also like to play bas guitar, go cycling, and have a beer or two whenever it might be appropriate to whoever reads this.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling is what I love most, but it's even better when it allows you to meet local - or kinda local - people to show you around. I'm also living on a small budget, so, well, there's that. I haven't tried Couchsurfing yet, so, I don't really know what to expect, except that it will help me travel in a more interesting way that also happens to be cheap. What else should I ask for?
Of course, I would love to offer the same to whoever needs to stay in Komotini!

Music, Movies, and Books

I've always loved rock music, and everything remotely related to it, from old school rock'n' roll to heavy metal. I also enjoy Hip Hop from time to time, but I have to admit I don't know much about it. I don't have a favourite band, but Oasis, the White Stripes, Pink Floyd and the Black keys must be in my top 10.
My favourite book is "Of Mice and Men", by John Steinbeck, though I also really enjoyed reading "L'ingénu" by Voltaire.
If I had to pick my favourite movie, it would be "Das Boot", but, I like every genre of movies, superhero movies, maybe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I once went skydiving, which was amazing from my point of view, at least.

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to be the bass player and lead singer in a rock band, so, if anybody's up for a jam session, or willing to learn some music, I'm in.
As a volunteer, i am currently giving English lessons as well as organising Political workshops about international affairs. I also used to be a scout leader, which does involve a lot of DIY knowledge etc.
Did I get this section right? Never mind
