About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm very easy going and will be grateful for any place to crash for one night. I enjoy hanging out and meeting new people and talking about whatever. I love running, hiking, camping, and being in nature. I enjoy being healthy, by exercising often and trying to eat good quality foods. You could call me an exercise extremist but I am always down to chill hard with people, listen to good music, and talk and learn from others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To be able to meet and stay with cool people from all over the world when I am on my travels. To learn from locals about the places I stay in and further broaden my horizons and perspectives!
Interests
Running loooong distances, working out, drawing, backpacking, thru-hiking, camping, hanging out with others, and reading. And of course, traveling, meeting new people, and experiencing new things.

Music, Movies, and Books
I really love classic rock, electronic music, and any type of music to chill out to.
When I travel I almost always have a book with me. I love reading biographies, adventure and travel stories, all of which add inspiration to live the most epic life I can muster.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Only one thing?! How about a few!
From December 1, 2015 - March 6, 2016, I walked 3007 km through New Zealand on the Te Araroa. The trail passed through beaches, knee deep mud, highways, cities, mountains, rivers, and vast open prairies. I walked with an Austrian friend I met in NZ and we covered over 250km per week much of the time. And I didn't shower for 24 days in the South Island!
The past two summers, I've worked in the national forests of the United States. During the summer of 2014, I worked in Oregon and Washington on a chainsaw and trail crew. Camping for 9 weeks straight, we worked long, difficult, yet wonderful days.
The summer of 2015 I worked in Colorado for the US Forest Service as a Wilderness Ranger. My job consisted of hiking the stunning wilderness trails and educating the public on proper backcountry ethics.
Teach, Learn, Share
By meeting new people and just talking, we all can learn from others' experiences while expressing our own experiences for others to learn. While I am not an expert in anything, I love to talk to others about what I know and listen from others about what they are willing to express.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I never complain, so I will be grateful for any kind acceptance by my host. I enjoy casually drinking, relaxing, and having a good time. I like to consider myself open minded and friendly, resulting in me getting along with all types of people.
