Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to feel the diversity of the world, the differences between people, to learn from it and and to better understand the world.
ABOUT ME
I'm very dynamic person, always on the move. Like to go out(music, theatre, dance), very interested in the way of life of other persons. Every vacation I use to visit people and countries (more and more outside Europe).
I' married to Nathalie and have two youngsters, a boy named Raven (12) and a girl Hazel (14). A dynamic family with a lot of freedom for everyone.
My job is teaching. But I'm also a fre-lance guide in multicultural Brussels. I guide for an alternative organisation who has a broad view on the city: not only the buildings and the art but also the people, the social contrasts, the well(or not)-being, mobility and for instance the ecological aspects of the city.
In Brussels our family is active in politics, the green movement and we particpate in a lot of activities.
PHILOSOPHY
You live only once and you have to make your own life. Take the opportunities, believe in yourself. Don't talk but do it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can offer a couch in a very comfortable and nice house in a quiet neighbourhood of Brussels, near the city centre. But I want first of all meet people from all over the world, have fun with them, show them Brussels and explain them how this city and country works. Why we can live togheter if we want to. Belgium doesnt need to disappear.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've no couchsurfing experience. We have done a lot house exchanges in Europe and on my travels I've always tried to meet locals. I' ve offered a couch to foreigners visiting our city.
Interests
First of all in people, but also in politics, in art, in the environnement. I like running, biking, hiking, shopping, going out, drink a beer and talking.

Music, Movies, and Books
music: from classical music (Bach, Alban Berg) over Jazz (Miles Davis, Jef Neve), chanson française (Brel,Axelle Red) to Pixies, PJ Harvey and the Killers.
non-fiction books about history and politics and fiction
Also dance (to see and to do), art (medieval but also Gilbert and George), running, biking, travelling, etc
Movies: une giornato particulare, les Barons, Tarantino, girl with the pearl earring, etc. All kinds of movies, old and new ones.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Soo much.
I like the world but I can also enjoy simple family-life: see my children grow up.
I was impressed by the roughnes of Tripoli, the religious fanatism in Damas, the beauty of the dessert, the 'tristesse' of the Palestine refugee camps, the marvellous musea of Paris, the 'va et vient' in Londen or the genius of Victor Horta.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a teacher and I can explain in an easy way difficult things of the past, of politics, of art.
