About Me

CURRENT MISSION

No current mission.

ABOUT ME

Jerri grew up in New York State, Mark in Minnesota. We met while at Syracuse University. We're soulmates. (But we're not all clingy and newlywedy in front of other people -- don't worry about that.)

PHILOSOPHY

You've only got one life to live -- but everyone else only has one as well. So make your life an adventure, remembering to be kind to others as you go.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing is awesome. We've met great people everywhere we've stayed. We can't wait to refill our kharma by hosting some surfers at our place.

Interests

Things that interest us include human rights, music (jug band music in particular), hiking, throwing frisbees and playing frisbee golf, politics, history, literature, a wry wit, a good drink, spicy foods.

Music, Movies, and Books

The best movie we've seen in the last year is "Junebug." (Unless it's actually "Me and You and Everyone We Know.")

We love to read to each other in the car when we're on road trips here in the US, and one of our favorite authors is Garrison Keillor.

Lately we've been into all things "old- timey;" we had a bluegrass band play at our wedding and we're in a jug band. But, we also like folk and world music a lot.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

2.5 months in Africa.

A 40-mile, 4-day hike in the Badlands National Park in North Dakota, USA. Amazing scenery (and bison right outside our tent!) in the least visited state in the union.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Kenya, Rwanda, Switzerland, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, United States
