I believe it's important to be aware and not be ignorant about the world around me. It's also because it annoys the hell out of me when someone makes a sweeping statement about something they know nothing about. So in that sense I want to be more aware to become less annoyed at myself!

I tend to be a solo traveller but that doesn't mean I hate the company of others! I like meeting new and like-minded people during my travels. That's because you never know what to expect or what kind of adventure you'll be embarking. That's why I'm on CouchSurfing.

I am a student of Philosophy, Politics and Economics so I love engaging in conversations about these topics. BUT, that's not all I'm interested about! (Scroll below to see my interests). Some people might be disinterested in politics for the right reasons but politics is not all about the shitty party politics or Donald Trump on the news. We've just got meet up if you are curious to know about my political leanings and views (but I swear I'm no fascist). I am extremely passionate about global development issues such as poverty, inequality, human rights and environmental sustainability.

I have mild colour blindness. That means it's difficult for me to differentiate certain colours . Can't read colourful graphs and maps properly sometimes!

I usually travel solo so I would like to meet new people, share and MAKE memorable memories!

I would like to meet like-minded people as well as learn and listen to adventure stories from others!

Interessen

(Not in order).....

1) Photography - my newfound interest over the past year! I've got a GoPro for my more adventurous activities but recently bought a DSLR to really get serious about it. It would be great to meet people who are interested in photography too and maybe head out for some landscape shoots or something ️

2) Fitness - I have so many things I want to accomplish in life. The best I could do is to provide myself a mobile and healthy body to better meet those goals. Lesmills Body Pump and Body Balance classes are absolutely amazing!

3) Music/entertainment - love music, going to the opera (favourites include Tosca, Jenufa), theatre, watching a musical (favourites include Phantom of the Opera, Sunset Boulevard, Showboat) or a recital! (and yes, I'm a closet-singer!)

4) History/culture - I would hate to travel to places without immersing myself in local culture. Every culture is unique and different yet so similar in so many ways, that's the beauty of it! I also love going to historical sites, museums and exhibitions to learn more about how people of the past lived their lives.

5) Outdoor activities - hiking, walking, cycling, kayaking, canyoning. I love love mountainous regions and I would very much enjoy heading to these places! A definite YES to any of these!

Any of Kajiura Yuki's music composition; whether that is Kalafina, FictionJunction or her soundtracks. Andrew Lloyd Webber's musicals. Lara Fabian. Barbra Streisand. Florence and the Machine. Secret Garden.

Favourite music genres: folk, ethnic, world, new age, neo-classical, classical, musical. Some classic love songs won't hurt too :)

MOVIES:

Well, basically any Studio Ghibli films. Disney is good but will never be comparable to Studio Ghibli.
