About Me

I've been traveling Europe, SE Asia and Australia for a couple years now. I always travel with a tent and cooking supplies so I can be self sufficient, but I love a bed when I can get one :) Nature lover, food enthusiast and a big talker. The weirder and more honest the better Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: It's always really difficult for me to comment on this because it's so broad but a few of my favorite bands/artists are Radiohead, Tom Waits, Beck, The Strokes, Arcade Fire, Neil Young, Rolling Stones, Al Green and anything with Soul/funk. Oh, and I can certainly get down to and dance to James Brown, he's the man.

Movies: Favorite movie is Children of Men.

Books: 1984, Micheal Crichton's books, popular physics books like Stephen Hawking, Christopher Hitchen's body of work, Philosophy, anything by Hunter S. Thompson. My favorite series were The Dark Tower Series, ASOIAF and Ender's game.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I walked from Santiago De Compostela to Finisterre (100km) in one 24 1/2 hour walk on the Camino De Santiago without sleeping or stopping (except for restroom and a bite to eat).

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn more about the world and different cultures. I adore eating new foods local to the region I'm visiting.
