About Me

I guess I am considered a full time nomad because for the last few years I've been traveling the world having fun and looking for places I might want to live part time.

CURRENT MISSION: On a round the world trip... kind of! While a RTW trip sounds really cool I'm more into traveling the world for the experience, checking off bucket list items and seeing where I end up.

I am originally from the USA and started traveling full time in 2016. I enjoy meeting travelers from all over. I love talking about how to travel frugally and finding things to do that are off the beaten path. I travel frequently with my gf. I'm in my late 40s, but I don't feel anywhere close to that.

To support my lifestyle I have an online business that allows me to live and work from anywhere in the world. I'm also a bit of an adrenalin junkie with a huge love for wakeboarding, canyoneering, motorcycles, and adventure travel and if we can incorporate any of that when we meet all the better!

If you'd like to see a few pictures from my travels check out my IG account.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing offers a great way to meet real people, have a more authentic experience, learn about the local culture, and hopefully pick up some lifelong friends along the way. I'm here because, although we travel a lot, meeting other travelers enriches the experience for everyone!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music. 80's and 90's Rock and some country. Game of Thrones was entertaining. Shawshank redemption is a classic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Toured South America on a motorcycle which included FARC and gorilla shakedowns. Summited multiple mountains including Mt. Whitney, Mt. Fuji and several smaller ones. Had a bear wake me up and tell me to move out before he raided my camp.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can teach you how to have your own business and run it from anywhere in the world. I'm pretty good at travel planning on a budget.
Learn: If you can teach me anything about adventure travel and fun things to do off the beaten path we'll be fast friends.
Share: I'm an open book and happy to share what knowledge I have. My cooking you may or may not enjoy!

What I Can Share with Hosts

On the fun side I can share a fair amount about travel, motorcycles, and if the opportunity presents itself wakeboarding, canyoning, and maybe a few other sports (I was once a licensed tennis teaching pro).

On the business side I have an extensive background in marketing, real estate, online businesses, and importing/exporting primarily from China.
