About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live my life. Be spontaneous. Let the experience infuse my work.

ABOUT ME

First and foremost, I'm an artistic person at heart since the age of five. I went to an art school for my bachelor degree in film, so for the majority of my late teen years one can say I was raised in a socially/politically progressive culture.

And yes, I am a cinephile. I spend a large portion of my time and income on movies, and I post bite-size movie reviews on my blog, Facebook, and Instagram account. I am also an avid TV viewer when it comes to quality episodic dramas/comedy. I also strongly affiliate myself with the nerd culture, and I'm also a full-time gaming enthusiast.

It's hard to judge myself objectively, but I also would like to think of myself as someone who is very open-minded, laid-back, and has a strong sense of humor. I always love a good laugh! Google "Louis CK explains why farts are funny" on Youtube. That shit always cracks me up to no end, and it always makes me feel young at heart whenever it does! I love stand-up comedy as well! If you love George Carlin as much as I do, you're my new best friend.

Oh, also, I consider myself a foodie. I love food so, SO much! All kinds of food from different culture! Japanese, Greek/Mediterranean, Mexican, Thai, Vietnamese, Brazilian, Chinese, Indian...you name it! It's probably my favorite aspect of traveling: EAT, EAT, EAT!

I'm also an avid gamer.

PHILOSOPHY

Live your life one day at a time. Have some sort of goals, but don't obsess over laying the path in its entirety ahead of you. Let the experience cumulate and infuse with my creative endeavors.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've couchsurfed in Boston and DC. Some of the best traveling experiences ever! I was insanely lucky to have such friendly, hospitable hosts! I do plan on inviting couchsurfers to my city sometime in the future!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: too many to name, but if I have to name just one...it would have to be "The Social Network." David Fincher is also my favorite filmmaker of all time, but like I mentioned before, the list is simply far too long. My taste in film is also extremely diverse. I'm open to all genres. Take a few examples from last year, my taste can range anywhere from "Spring Breakers" to "Gravity" and with other selections in between like "Upstream Color."

TV: BREAKING BAD! True Detective. Archer. Girls. House of Cards. Game of Thrones. The Newsroom. Arrested Development. The Daily Show. Colbert Report.

Music: DISNEY MUSICALS! Foster the People. Daft Punk. Mutemath. Eminem. Timberlake. Aimee Mann. OneRepublic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Can't think of anything, to be honest, but I do have a few things to check off on my bucket list.

(in no particular order)
-skydiving
-swimming with dolphins
-swimming with a whale shark
-take a trip down the Amazonian river
