About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Temporarily Under Construction

PHILOSOPHY

To live my life without regret. I believe that I have one opportunity at life and that I control my destiny. I would not trade who I am with anyone else and I find joy in being able to grow through the experiences and people in my life. Through these experiences and people I am searching to find my true passions and higher purpose.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I leave my couch open to anyone who is outgoing and and down to earth.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My couch surfing history is just starting. I recently had the opportunity to host three amazing girls from France who were studying in Quebec. The experience was so fun and positive that it has made me eager to participate as a host again.

Interests

If I had an ideal day it would contain at least a few of my favorite interests:

I wake up refreshed and enthusiastic. I make a healthy breakfast, get cleaned up and I'm out the door. First stop, I swing by the library to pick up some classic rock and hip hop CD's to add to my music library. I checkout and make a quick stop at the grocery store nearby. They have fresh fruits and vegetables, and I pickup all the essentials for homemade guacamole. As I'm checking out I get a call from my friend looking to play some basketball at the gym. We keep winning and I lose track of time because I'm having such a good time. I finally look up at the clock and realize 3 hours have gone by! We finish up, I drop him off, and make plans to meet up again later that night. It's now about 2pm and I'm a little tired. I make lunch, get cleaned up and get an hour nap in on my favorite couch. I wake up and check my email and facebook. Oh man, BJ is having a party 2nite. I bust out my cool new Motorola phone and send out the mass text message, "Party at BJ's @ 10". I look at my outbox "Message sent at 4:01PM". I turn on the TV and the DVR notifies me of the football game starting at 4:30. Northwestern is playing another Big 10 team. I make the guacamole and bust out a fresh bag of chips. I sit down with my Dad and we watch the game, it is of course something we've been doing for the last 15 years. Game ends in dramatic fashion with Northwestern winning on the last play of the game! I have a full out celebration and I know that the rest of my night is going to be awesome! I hop in the shower, put on some clothes and I'm off to help set up for the party. I'm early, as always. We set the house up for the night and we are already being silly and making each other laugh. It's not long until everyone starts rolling in. Our friends come in at all different times. By 11:30 the party is rocking. I look around and there are a bunch of people I've never met before having a good time and hanging out with my good friends. The party goes until the early morning until people start heading out. I leave the party and head home. I hop into bed with a big smile on my face thinking of how much fun I had. I'm soon asleep, finally exhausted from my long day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I tackled my fear of heights by strapping myself to a stranger and falling 15,000 feet out of the sky.

Biking down Mt Baldy in Idaho. Bike path was about as narrow as my tire width, and there were points where mountain would drop hundreds of feed if you were an inch outside the path. My heart thumped like drum for hours straight. By the end my back was cut and bloodied from multiple falls, and I certainly sustained other injuries. This was the single most exhilarating thing I have ever done.
