ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in a farm in Kentucky. I finished high school and dipped out.
I went to Chicago Illinois for half my undergraduate. Then I went to Eastern Kentucky University to finish up. I studied pre-law, pre-med, and ended up with an undergraduate degree in safety and fire engineering technology. I obtained my Emergency medical technician certification, my wildland firefighting firefighter type II certification, and countless other random certifications too. I'm pretty sure I'll be utilizing these things at some point, but maybe not.
Recently, I've been finishing up my graduate degree at Colorado State University. I only have my defense remaining which will be shooting off in March 2015, so please don't ask to stay with me then!
Anyway, I'm a really laid back guy. I love meeting new people and trying new things.
PHILOSOPHY
Atheistic existentialism!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been really excited about this project ever since I learned about it from another CSer. I haven't participated a whole lot, but I'd like to do more.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've slept on quite a few couches in my day. I think the best part of couch surfing is meeting new people and learning to adapt to situations where you may be out of your element.
Interests
I like playing sports. I like camping, hiking, spelunking, and all things outdoors. I also like reading, running, skiing, snowboarding, painting, drawing and cooking. I'm a drummer, although I haven't had much time to practice lately. I also play the banjo. And finally I like to hang out with people and just have a good time. Pretty much anything that involves me having a good time I'm interested in.

Music, Movies, and Books
This list could pretty much be endless. In general I'm into action movies. I'm into non-fiction books (for learning). I enjoy watching and reading other things too, but if I'm actually trying to entertain myself I focus on these things.
As far as music goes. I enjoy pretty much every genre with the exception of pop. Why? - I'm forced to listen to pop on a weekly basis in some form or fashion. There are just too many good bands out there to just hear the same 10 songs dozens of time a month.
Anyways, I'm pretty much playing music all day at my house which probably should be a consideration if you dislike music or something.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Utah is pretty awesome; Canyon Lands. I need to see a lot more. I've been to a ton of blues festivals thanks to my pops though. King Biscuit in Helena, AK. was probably something the majority of people here won't do, but it was a pretty amazing experience. Heavily contributed to by being with my brother and pop who increase the entertainment/fun levels by some infinite factor.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could teach quite a bit about forestry. I'm not sure what other hobbies I'm going to get into this upcoming year, but I'm always happy to include other people in my doings.
