About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To remember that life is a PARTY! :-D

ABOUT ME

I don't really know what what others would say about me, but let me try to sum up what I suppose they would. It takes some time to get to know the real me. When people first meet me they think of me as a guy who likes to party quite a lot, although his is quite shy at the beginning. People who actually know me do know that I am quite a friendly guy who likes to make lots and lots of new friends whenever he has a chance and tends to be as helpful to them as he can. I think of myself as quite a smart guy and I do hope that my friends share this thought :-P.

PHILOSOPHY

My motive is to get to know as many people as I can and to be able to make friends with them. I like making people smile and helping them, although I sometimes lack time to spare for them. I believe that by spreading the message of friendship we can make this world a better place to live in. If you think that's naive, maybe you are right, but if you think that I am insane or stupid to think that you probably haven't given it that much thought :P.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some, although I only hosted three groups through couchsurfing.org, I usually get requests through other sites.

Interests

As I work as a mathematics tutor for some time now I must say that I am a bit of a science nerd. I used to take part in quite a lot of sport activities (aiki ju-jutsu, fencing, climbing, bicycle), but due to my condition I can no longer do these things at the moment. I am an active member of the polish My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic fandom and I partake in and host the so-called 'Pony-meets'. When I see that this particular 'hobby' annoys people I can be silent about that, so don't let this discourage you :-). I am also a vocalist and a bass guitar player, with particular interest in hard rock and metal music. I think I can also call myself a bit of a fantasy geek, who is also addicted to books. I tend to drink alcohol quite often, but, as before, if anyone would prefer me not to, then that would be no problem at all :-). For some time now I strive to become a successful sound engineer and work in the voice acting industry at some point if my life, so if you like that kind of stuff be prepared to go to some karaoke venue with me :-).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Oh my, I spend most of my time at home, so I don't really do that many things that on might call 'interesting'... I can probably recall one such event.
That one thing would be a trip to the woods me and my friends had during the summer holidays in 2012. We were a group of ten, wandering into the wild woods of Gorce Mountains. In the middle of the night. With no lights, not to attract wolves', boars' and bears' attention. Although we had knives and two guides armed with rifles with us who knew the woods well enough, the trip was quite a dangerous one. About halfway through the march we started being followed by a pack of wolves (five to seven adults and few puppies, according to our guides) and by accident we stumbled upon a giant female boar with her children, who happened to be sleeping about two meters away from our path and didn't hear our approach because she was asleep. Although we were able to scare her away and the wolves lost interest in us soon enough, the trip was still quite scary for some of our companions. We've visited the crash sites of a few military planes that fell in these woods during the Second World War and had our guide tell us their stories, then we cautiously returned to our hut. We were exhausted, so we slept as if we were dead till much later hours of the next day, some of us thanking their gods for not meeting a wild bear...

Was it amazing enough for this site? I sure hope so :P.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can probably help by teaching mathematics (algebra, calculus, logic, probability) and some basic physics.
