Hey everyone! I am a 25 year old male born in the United States, originally from Manhattan but raised in Florida. I studied History and Political Science at the University of Florida and am currently doing the Roads to Democracy Master’s Program in Politics, History, and Sociology at the University of Siegen in Germany, but am now continuing my studies in Coimbra, Portugal.

I can be that guy that you can go out and have a fun Friday night with, explore and have a mini adventure walking around aimlessly in a random small old German village, or just chill and talk for hours (ideally over a cup of coffee or a beer) about food, culture, politics, drama, sports, Netflix, or anything cause I love to get to know new people.

Social issues are a very important passion of mine and I am a large advocate for human rights and equality advocacy (race relations, lgbtq rights, women’s rights, etc) and this is a large motivation for my studies right now. There is so much more but I’m sure I’ve said more than enough already, but let me know if you have any questions for me and I would love to talk further!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Going to be in Europe for the next 2 years so I want to explore as much as I can while I am here and meet as many cool and interesting people as possible! I won't be in Europe for long so I'm just trying to have the best experiences that I can possibly have in the short time that I have :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm really bad with lyrics and the name of artists, but I have an appreciation for all genre's of music but classic and alternative rock and alternative pop being favorites of mine, while Chance the Rapper and Childish Gambino being a couple of my favorite artists

I'm a pretty big nerd when it comes to movies and television, obsessing over all the DC/Marvel films, Star Wars and Game of Thrones

To be honest, being so consumed in my studies I haven't read anything non-academic based in a while, but I need to start reading for fun again
