About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Slowly learning how to meet people in authenticity and honnesty

ABOUT ME

I ve been travelling most of my twenties, then returned to belgium and became self-employed (in water purification) while studying subjects in holistic health and communcation. In 2010 i sold my business and started freelancing to create time for writing (novels), which, by the way, remained a time-consuming hobby ( meaning: unpublished).
For the first time in 8 years i got the feeling it was time to go travelling again. So now i am on a five months trip, mainly new-zealand. I am still not sure what exactly i am searching for (except that there is a huge longing for pure unspoiled nature, and maybe that is reason enough).

PHILOSOPHY

A coisa mais divina que hay do mundo, e viver cada segundo como nunca mais (The Brazil way of saying 'carpe diem', from the song of Vinicius)
Always remember that not getting what you want, might be the best thing you could ever get.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a very comfortable sleeping couch for 2 persons. We can arrange sleeping matrasses for more.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Since the summer of 09 I hosted some great couchers. Now i hope to enjoy surfing myself for the first time.

Interests

I love to see how other people live, to experience how it is to live in another place. It is very important to me to keep in mind that the Belgian way is not the one and only. Thats why i need to get away from time to time.
At the moment i am vey passionate about non-violent communcation from Marshall Rosenberg. After four years of practice i still feel like a baby in this new way of communication. It is a lifetime learning. But for me, it is a working tool to build connection and compassion and it helps me to become more 'me' around people.
I love to discover new music.
I love to dance. I ve done tango, salsa, lindy hop, but lately i enjoy more to dance freely (mostly in my living room)
