ABOUT ME

My name is Jes, I was born in southern Maine, but now I live in rural upstate New York with family. I have a little girl whos almost 3. I have pets that I adore - 1 dog, 5 cats, 4 chickens, a horse, a turtle, and 2 sheep.

I sometimes wonder if I actually chose anything in my life. Most things, especially the big stuff, were such coincidences that it seems very planned out, well ahead of time. I feel like Im being led, you know? hopefully to somewhere great :p

Home is an old farm house that belongs to my stepfather. I lived there, off and on, for almost 20 years.

The area I live in is almost completely farm land. Its used to grow food for cows and other animals - corn, soybeans and hay. Its pretty, but doesnt leave much room for wilderness. I would love to see some of these fields turned back in to woodland! Oh well. I do not live anywhere near New York City, so dont ask me about it! Ive only been there once and it was only for a few hours when I was much younger. I barely remember it.

Im kind of weird and goofy and laugh 'too loud' according to most people. Ive also been described as 'earthy'...not sure what that means exactly! I almost always smell like animals, tho now that we live with none, I hope that will go away. Though I dont mind it. Its other people who are offended. Apparently you should always smell like perfume...ick! I like to smell what people actually smell like. I have a sensitive nose and perfume and cologne makes it hurt. I dont mind a little scent, but most people seem to dump an entire bottle on their heads before they go out!

I like to draw and paint but, again, I dont have much time for that anymore. But when Mad is a little older, it will be way too much fun to teach her to to paint and draw! And teach her to sew and knit and everything else I like to do.

Photography is something I LOVE to do. I wish I could do it for a living! I have sold a few of my photographs, tho. Its very cool to know my pictures are all over the world hanging in people homes.

When I DO have time to do something alone, Its usually play video games...I love Everquest2, Sims3 and Farmville. But we just got FF XIII so Im going to be playing that!

Ive just recently discovered I love Korean boy bands...>.> Who knew? Heehee

My interests include animals, reading, art, knitting/crocheting, gardening, EVERQUEST2, movies, music, games, nature and lots of other things.
