Hej, rart at møde dig!

My name is Jesper and I am currently living in Milan, Italy, because I am finishing the final year of my master's degree as a Double Degree student, which means that I have already spent one year at my home university in Copenhagen.

I've had plenty of good experiences using Courchsurfing in the past, and I plan to use it in the future as well! Some day, when I have my own place, I look forward to hosting guests as well. I want to continue meeting fellow travelers and have a chance to pay back the kindness and hospitality that has been shown to me throughout my own journey.

Health is very important to me and I am passionate about keeping myself in peak physical condition, so stretching and exercising are an integral part of my lifestyle. I recently purchased a cookbook, because I want to make to make nutritious food that also tastes fantastic, and right now I find great pleasure in sharing my meals together with my four roommates.

I like art, and I have a lot of creative hobbies, such as drawing, painting, rapping, singing, miniature terrain building, or juggling. I want to be engaged in something. For instance, I never watch TV-series, because it is too passive for me. I would much rather sit around a table and play board games or interact with people directly.

I have a lot of vivid dreams, every night in fact, and sometimes I even experience lucid dreaming.

My life philosophy comes from three core principles, namely 1) Truth, 2) Openness, and 3) Honesty. I believe that if we could all be more direct with each other the world would be a better place.

I believe in positivity, and I remain optimistic that everything will turn out alright in the end.

I also have an entrepreneurial spirit, and upon finishing my studies I look to start my own business - the thrill, hard work, and independence is very appealing to me. I want passion, fire and flame, and I will gladly embrace all the risks associated with that.

As a guest, I can tell you that I neither smoke nor drink, and since hygiene and respect is very important to me I can guarantee that I am very tidy and polite.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Visiting new places is lovely, but what makes a trip truly great is the experiences that you get and share with the people you are with.

A few years back, when I went to the United States, I got my first taste of travelling on my own and staying with strangers (who would quickly become friends), and since then I have been in love with the concept.

I am unfortunately not in a position where I am able to host people yet, but I do want to return the hospitality that has been shown to me many times before, so when my housing situation allows it I look forward to hosting.

I enjoy learning new things and exploring new hobbies, which I do often. You can often find me starting to freestyle poorly whenever the inspiration hits, or singing when I'm home alone or in the kitchen. If I am out, I tend to bring a hacky sack along with me, and when I really want to get in the zone I will sit and draw or paint. I can easily spend two hours stretching on the floor, and going to the gym makes me super happy. I am a novice cook, but I want to get better - I am an excellent eater though, and I know good food when I see, smell, and taste it.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I listen to music depending on my mood, but I mostly turn it up when I work out. I like rap music, because the lyrical ingenuity, speed, and references fascinate me a lot. I also enjoy rock'n'roll, dance, and party music, as well as late 1990's early 2000's technoesque tunes. Emo/Punk/Rock/Grunge bands is another favorite of mine! Throw in some Kpop or metal songs and we've got a good playlist going.

My favourite movies are The Lord of the Rings, Spring Breakers, John Wick, Train to Busan, Pusher, and anything Studio Ghibli.

I am not sure about my favourite book, but I like H.P. Lovecraft's works, various fantasy and science fiction books, and true inspirational stories or biographies motivate me! Right now I am reading a book about sleep.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I once caught a fly with my right index finger and thumb without even looking. But really, there are many different stories that I could share here, but I would rather do it in person!

I surfed in the United States for three months and stayed with a lot of different lovely people - that was the beginning of my first real adventure. Since then, I have undertaken a lot of new travels and I do not plan on stopping! Meeting people and growing from the relationships, helping each other and taking it somewhere great is what I want.
