About Me
I'm writing this right now at 3:08am from the couch of the Oddsson hostel in Iceland. I just finished talking to a very nice dude from Hungary named Bálint. From our conversation, I decided to try Couchsurfing so that it might help me get off the beaten path and experience a more authentic and personal culture of my destinations.
I quit my job and bought a 1-way ticket to travel Europe for a few months, and I am about a week into my adventure as I write this (April 11, 2017). Whenever I get back home, I hope to be able to return this favor in the form of hosting some surfers in my city. Thanks for considering to host me, and I'm beyond excited to start meeting some of the members of this cool community.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To get past the touristy aspects of travel, and to meet locals for a more authentic, real, and rewarding experience.
Interests
My favorite thing to do when I find a new city is to just walk around and get lost for a few hours.
I'm open to anything. I enjoy drinking and going out on the town, as well as staying inside and reading for a quiet night away from the world.
I'm an athletic person, and in The States I really enjoy playing pickup sports with my friends. I also like coming home from work and just crashing on the couch to play video games. I love my friends to death, but unfortunately they don't share my love of travel.
I sincerely enjoy cooking food, and part of the reason I love travel is that it allows me to learn new styles, techniques, and ideas from many varrying cultures. If you decide to host me, I'd love to cook a meal with you.
