Overview
About Me
Architecture fanatic. After being in the classroom for 4+ years I decided to pack up my life and travel the globe one country at a time to experience the architecture of places as I finish my thesis remotely. Very typical, laid back Aussie. Always down for a chat or light hearted debate. I’m a beach baby through and through, grew up with a fishing rod in my hand and adore a good camping trip but equally love getting lost in a massive city and exploring it for days on end.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’ve had my fair share of time in hostels, and admittedly I absolutely love them, however I discovered Couchsurfing when I was 18 on a solo world trip and have been hooked ever since. Ive been away now for 4 months but don’t have any plans or flights to go back to Aus. Travelling long term/ indefinitely means being able to stay in someone’s home somehow cures homesickness like no hostel can. I’ve met really great people through this app and love this style of travelling where you get a taste of what it’s like to live in a foreign place away from the tourist bubble.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sailed a ship for 7 days as a deck hand 👣
Teach, Learn, Share
I love being forced to unlearn something and have my perspective changed. I’ve had a somewhat unconventional childhood being raised in the outback of Australia so any stories I can share- I would love to. My numero uno obsession is architecture so any conversations about that you’ll have me talking for hours. I adore when people have a passion for something that makes them light up when they get talking about it- would love to listen to and learn from you, whatever your passion may be.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Although I have been asked many many times if I carry a jar of vegemite around with me unfortunately I don’t. However I can share another great Aussie trait and that would be our terrible humour! Above all, I can give you my contact if you come to Australia I would be more than happy to return the favour of hosting you. (If I ever go back 🤭)
