About Me

For my past experience, I have had the privilege to work for an NGO. Now, back to being employed but working like a nomad I want to explore more of the different cultures and communities. I am fond of meeting people that could tell their history, their family's history, their tradition and culture. I like the mountains and the seas, especially life underwater. Basically I can't dive but I love snorkeling so much. I prefer to listen and learn more about people and things...

Just recently, I've moved to the southern part of the Philippines and leaving in a simple rural beach resort. So if you want some stories and a place to experience quiet and serenity? Just send me a message.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because as I go around, I don't only want to meet great hosts but I prefer talking to people who knows more about the place and its history. I prefer to learn more from the locals than from just the internet. People telling stories is far greater than reading books. (of course, reading books is great! ;) )

Update! As of 2024 - visit me at Sta Maria, Davao Occidental - accessible via Davao City or via General Santos ;)

Interests

  • snorkeling
  • cultural immersion

Music, Movies, and Books

Books? Most of those I've read, if you see my fb, would be about crime and mystery. :) Music? So long as it appeals me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm.. only one? Proud to say I've been to at least 1000 barangays in the Philippines. Then i'd say working with the Local Government Workers of the different municipalities of Iloilo and literally going around one barangay after the other with the barangay captains and municipal councilors. Each of their stories were unique and amazing!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English, Tagalog and probably how to go around the Philippines ;)
I share my stories of hope and stories of different people I met from the Tribes and communities in the Philippines.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd like to share the different experiences I've had after working with a poverty-related NGO. I'd like to be an advocate of poverty alleviation and the different simple interventions each one can really make.

Countries I’ve Visited

Hong Kong, Macao, Philippines, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Philippines
