About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Strengthen relationships in the community and bring people together! I hope to create a sense of belonging for a large variety of people and help them to empower themselves so they can create positive change!

ABOUT ME

Determined optimist out for adventure and new experiences. Eager to meet people and find places! A big believer in sharing culture and the goodness in things.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is incredible. I love the idea of 'meaningful coincidences' and transforming every moment into one full of positive vibrations!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've lived in student houses for the last 3 years, and have been sleeping on my friends' sofas over the summer, so haven't had the capacity to host unfortunately. But I take the couchsurfing values with me always! When I return to Bath after my stay in Australia (where I am now) I'll have my own place and will happily host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met such open minded and friendly people through Couchsurfing!! I hope to be able to host people and show them around the city and help them out, as my hosts have done for me!

Interests

Sustainability, good food, walking, dancing, neuroscience and physics (mostly in relation to the impact these theories have on society and people), philosophy, music, reading, art, community building.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: afrobeat, jazz and soul, motown, psytrance, chilled electronic, liquid - let's share some music when we meet!

Books: I like books on Existential Philosophy, Ecology, Religion, the beautiful writings of Zen Buddhism, weird poetry, strange inconsequential books that stay with you for years...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my favourite memories is just sitting on a hill at Ozora festival, Hungary, with my sister and watching the sun rise, having been up all night. Feeling that warmth and getting re-energized, and just feeling the love, was so revitalising! Then running down the hill and having another stomp about in the dust - complete bliss!!

Spending one month living in a Buddhist monastic community in China, which culminated in 8 days of silent meditation (8hrs per day). This experience absolutely changed my life! Please ask me about it when we meet!

Amazing things keep happening to me! Last year I was in Turkey, where my friend and I met SO MANY amazing people, and since then everything in my life has just slotted in to place. It's almost ridiculous how well everything is working out - being in the right place at the right time. Meaningful coincidences!! Everything is amazing.

I've been organizing a community festival for the last 2 years called Protestival. We are protesting social fragmentation and alienation by bringing the community together through music, workshops, and talks. We've had some amazing feedback and have big plans for the future!

Teach, Learn, Share

I think it's so important to learn from each other and be willing to share! I'm certain that a culture of mutual respect and sharing will emerge - we can do better than what we have at the moment!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share cooking skills, share some music, life philosophy, I'll share my home with you and show you around Bath - it's a beautiful city.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, China, Cuba, Cyprus, France, Germany, Hungary, Portugal, Serbia, South Africa, Switzerland, Turkey, United States
