About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy life, laugh lots and meet amazing people along the way!

ABOUT ME

Hey! I made the big move from Australia to England in October 2010 and this website came highly recommended by a friend who is a long-time CouchSurfer. I travelled and explored a slice of Europe while living in Manchester, and met some amazing locals that I was lucky enough to share some culture and experiences with.

I love socialising with people from all over the world, and especially love enjoying what Melbourne has to offer everyone who visits.

I grew up in a tiny coastal town called Meringo, about 200km south of Sydney. I moved to Melbourne at the beginning of 2005 to study nursing and have loved living in such a vibrant and friendly city!
Over the years I have met many travelers, and every single one of them have inspired me to save up and travel my way around the world as well.
I made quite a few little holiday trips around the UK and Eupope over the last few years, and have definitely got the travel bug. I'm hoping my passport has a lot more stamps in the years to come!

PHILOSOPHY

Cliches like "time waits for no-one" annoy me, but I am a firm believer in enjoying every minute of every day. I want to just have a blast with awesome people wherever I am in the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Over the last year and a half I have met some awesome people during my travels, in the UK and throughout Europe, and made some great new friends! I love to meet up with people and share ideas and tips about their city/town over a drink or coffee!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had some amazing experiences with CouchSurfers! It's an awesome way to explore a new city with a local's perspective. Staying with a great guy in Brugge was a huge highlight. Being right in the middle of the city and having access to a bicycle was a great way to mingle with the locals.

Interests

Meeting new people, laughing, exploring cities (abroad and at home), going to see sporting games (any sport really, but in particular rugby league and union), lazing on the beach, penguins, parties, live music and sending postcards.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing the Eiffel Tower in -10 degrees, and seeing the sparkly Christmas lights turned on while standing on the second level.
Dancing through Prince's 3 hour set at Way Out West Festival in Gothenburg.
Dipping my toes in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Malta with one of my most favourite people in the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I get lost in other people's travel stories. I love hearing how other people view their own town and city, and the places they have travelled.I think the best way to learn about a new place is meeting locals and having the valuable word of mouth!
