About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To approach life with passion.
ABOUT ME
I am an open and optimistic person who has always wanted to travel. I was an au pair in France and it was my first experience that told me that I can do all the things I've ever wanted to do. I am easy to get along with, and of a dramatic bent, so I tend to have fun pretty much wherever I go. However, I also have that Canadian urge to constantly apologize, and maintain that whole polite thing I grew up with! I am fascinated with different cultures and perspectives on life and i think that's my favourite part of experiencing another part of the world so far. And now that I'm back home I have so much more appreciation for my own country and an urge to share our oddities with others.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy is to remain optimistic. Life can only be as wonderful as you make it, and that definitely requires optimism.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have surfed, hosted and done meet ups. I try to have been mia for a while but am looking to reconnect with the community and meet some more fascinating people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Have had some wonderful hosts while bouncing around Europe and back home in Quebec and Ontario. They inspired me to try to live up to their example when I had the opportunity to host in Ottawa. I've loved every minute of it...
Interests
I love boating, running, yoga, reading, always been involved in the dramatic arts, I'm a history major, so that is always one of my loves, I love being outside, and it's redundant, but of course traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all sorts of music, classic rock for nostalgia, indie to feel the moment, show tunes for silliness and country for bonfires. I enjoy movies that make you think, that you have to pay attention to (plus the odd cheesy thing, or classic)... umm Boondocks Saints, An Education, Gone With the Wind.. who knows. Books, childhood favourite was definitely Little Women, I read just about anything, "A Trip to the Stars", "The Haunting of Hill House" "Lamb" and once a year I have to have "Pride and Prejudice". I have not read as much lately as I once did though, and that needs to change. So I'm open to suggestions.
What I Can Share with Hosts
An open mind and a quick laugh.
