I like to read and cook, dance, explore and talk to friendly people about interesting, silly, important, intellectual, outrageous things (all in the one conversation if possible!)! I am a kind and down to earth gal,usually a little quiet and shy at first but I warm up pretty quickly! Have just finished my Masters degree in Fine Arts and am traveling for a little while to escape academia!

I am new to couch surfing and am traveling through Spain and Morocco with my partner Ben at the moment.

Interests

I am particularly passionate about Indigenous peoples rights and the politics of colonialism and am interested in art, gender, politics, history, food cultures, cooking, music...argh, the list goes on and on!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Nothing too violent or too sappy: Wes Anderson films, Amelie, Look Both Ways, The Science of Sleep, Labyrinth (childhood favorite!)
Music: I am really into Folk-Country at the moment as well as contemporary classical music.
Books: Have had my head in too many academic journals and books for the past 3 years! But I love what I research :) I also like to read fantasy novels, political biographies, and Contemporary Literature.
