About Me

I'm into a wide variety of things: political and leftist philosophy, psychology, surrealism, dreams, economics, activism, spirituality, internationalism, decolonization, communal and sustainable living, environmentalism, gardening, herbal medicine, singing, cycling, yoga (I'm a certified instructor), nutrition, meditation, fashion, minimalist travel, and enjoying the time I have on this Earth. I like having a good time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm traveling to many countries, and would like to see the places I visit from a local's perspective. Couchsurfing has been one of the best ways I've found so far for me to see the world and to meet people.

I'd also love to hear anything you know about communal living. I'd like to join or start a community living project in which we share resources and have a collective business like beekeeping or making kombucha.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is such a joy for me. I enjoy a wide range, including: psychedelic, international (especially '60s - '70s era), house, punk, post-punk, electronic, soul, funk, lo-fi, folk, and trip hop music. Bands like Thievery Corporation, Black Marble, Françoise Hardy, and Belle and Sebastian are some of my faves.

I'm a bookworm, and enjoy books about philosophy, spirituality, environmental sustainability, human rights, and psychology. Noam Chomsky, Toni Morrison, Vandana Shiva, Marx, and Sadhguru are heroes of mine. I thoroughly enjoy reading about revolutions throughout history .

Cinema has been an especially enjoyable part of my life. I like artsy independent films such as Enter the Void, La planète sauvage, The Fountain, The Love Witch, anime like Paprika.... anything that artistically blurs the lines between dreams and reality is my vibe.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've flown a plane with an engine equivalent to that of a lawn mower up to 2,000 feet. Living la vida loca.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach: about holistic health, environmentalism, nutrition, yoga, meditation, psychology, communal/cooperative living, and political philosophy.

I'd love to learn: about your story, languages (German, French, Farsi, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, Chinese, Swahili, Muskogee... all of them, honestly) and an instrument (guitar, violin, drums, harmonica). I've learned a bit of guitar and drums but mostly want to learn more drum rhythms and beats.

I can share: my wild stories, thoughtful conversation, insights, dreams, and inspiration
