About Me
I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it...
I'm a recent college graduate, currently traveling around, trying to see a bit more of the world. I'm a pretty laid back guy, but I also love exploring new places and going on exciting adventures.
Once I'm done with my travels, I'm hoping to write and direct movies and/or tv shows. I studied Psychology at my university, but I'm also interested in a ton of different subjects as well, including literature, history, acting, biology, math, econ, etc.
In general, I'm really just looking to have a fun time, meet new people, and get to know the places that I'm visiting.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think one of the most magical parts of traveling so far, has been the human connections that I've made. Staying in hostels can be fun, but there's no better way to get to know a place than to stay with someone who truly lives there. I'm really looking forward to meeting people that can help me learn about their culture, and also show me fun places or activities that are less touristy and more local.
Interests
I love watching movies/shows, playing guitar, playing futbol/soccer, rock climbing, hiking, camping, reading, among many others. I also love just sitting around and having a good conversation.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love a ton of movies, so it's difficult to pick just a few favorites. The Lord of the Rings is always amazing. I also love Hayao Miyazaki's films (Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, etc.). Some other favorites include Good Will Hunting, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Memento, Anchorman, Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Some recent movies that I've loved are Boyhood, Her, and Whiplash.
As a sample of my reading taste, I just finished "My Documents" by Alejandro Zambra and "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams. I'm currently reading "The Savage Detectives" by Roberto Bolano.
I love listening to good music, especially live shows. I generally listen to more alternative/indie rock and folk, but I like rap, electronic, pop, and plenty of other genres as well.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I performed a slam poem at a national competition on a stage in front of over 1000 people.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot about the different academic subjects listed above. I'm a pretty good cook, an experienced writer, and an accomplished outdoorsman. I know how to climb, camp, play sports and music.
I'm looking to learn the cultural and experiential things that are unique to the area I'm visiting.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Lots of experience in a variety of different subjects and interests. Add to that a positive attitude, an openness to new experiences, and a loyal friendship!
Also, I can bake 30 minute brownies in 20 minutes.
