My name is Jesse, I'm 19 and from the Netherlands. I'm currently in my gap year and so far I've been doing a lot of travelling already. To add up to this I'll be travelling through Europe with my best friend this May.

I think it'd be very interesting to see the real life behind the big cities, to meet real natives and learn about the culture and the people of all the countries. Ofcourse it'd be amazing to end up with some more friends as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people and to immerse myself into the culture and people of that specific country. I think it sounds very awesome to meet new (and actual local) people, to talk about culture and interests instead of just going to a hotel.

Music, Movies, and Books

I play the and sing myself so ofcourse I'm a big music fan. I play the piano and the ukulele and I sing and play every possible genre. I also listen to almost everything. Alot of genres from all time periods, especially the 50's and the 80's.

I'm very much into sci-fi movies and so ofcourse I'm a massive Star Wars fan. Though my favorite movie saga has got to be the Harry Potter series.

I don't really read alot of books so there's not alot I can say. Whenever I do read I find it very enjoyable though.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Perhaps a taste of my musical interest. If there's a piano or a ukulele or maybe even karaoke I'd gladly share my love for music. I'd love to talk about travelling in general too, about all the different cultures and how I feel about them.
