Overview
About Me
Semi-retired, semi-young, looking to meet new and interesting people.
I enjoy exploring new cultures and having random adventures. The best experiences are those that are spontaneous, unplanned, and often accidental.
I'm pretty relaxed, open minded and easy to get along with.
I'm open to hosting as well as surfing. I have a fair amount of free time so if desired can help show guests around or help coordinate/find activities to do.
Note that I am in West Allis, which is about 6 miles from downtown Milwaukee, WI. It's about a 15 minute Uber ride to downtown. I'm about 2 blocks from a bus line.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet new people and see what the world has to offer. I want to meet people from different backgrounds and expand my horizons.
People are fascinating and everyone has a unique story to tell.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like most types of music, but tend to gravitate toward classic rock, 90s's rock and 90's hip hop.
Some favorite books include 1984, Brave New World, The Running Man, Think and Grow Rich, and The Richest Man in Babylon.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It probably doesn't sound amazing to others, but when I was in Amsterdam in 2010 I got separated from my friends after bar-close. I was lost and didn't have much cash on me. When I would ask people if they could point me in the direction of my hotel, they all wanted money to do so. Finally an eclectic looking fellow on a bike said he would show me the way. He had me hop on his bike rack as he pedaled me through Amsterdam at 3am. It ended up being the most memorable part of my trip! When we got to the hotel, I went in to get some cash for him, and the hotel clerk wanted to buy the guy's bike, and as I went back to my room he jumped the desk to negotiate buying it. A totally random and completely awesome experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm working on learning Spanish so any opportunity to learn would be welcomed!
I play guitar/bass and some drums and have a set up in my basement so if you can play an instrument I'd be open to a jam session. Or, if you'd like to learn, I can help teach you a few chords or some beats.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have a great attitude and an open mind. I'm a clean person and am also willing to help out or contribute to 'earn my keep', whether it is doing the dishes, cooking or fixing things around the property.
