Hello!

My name is Jesse, I am a 21 year old American guy on a dream trip around the world!

I grew up in a family of six––my parents, two younger sisters, and a younger brother. I love my family so much and we are very very close. For years we had the dream to travel together; and finally last summer (2016) we had the time and money! So we traveled for ten weeks in Europe. It was an amazingly blessed experience and one I definitely hope to repeat with my family. Anyway, I fell in love with the traveling and decided to continue on my own!
I have been on my solo adventure for over three years now and am having an amazing time. I started with primarily volunteering. . . . I love the volunteering method of travel, because you get to actually live AMONGST the culture and the people, learning the work and the lifestyle. I think it offers such a rich and much more intimate cultural experience compared with that of so many tourists. I love to meet people and to work with them and to learn new skills.
But then I moved on to teaching and freelance writing, simply because the money lets me travel a bit faster and more freely. Also, writing is my passion so that's naturally what I want to do!

I am very passionate about all things relational, artistic, creative, and adventurous––anything beautiful, or anything which challenges or draws us closer together as humans!

But my biggest passion––aside from perhaps other people––is for story. I am a strong STRONG believer in the power of story to change the world. I have been writing a book for many years now and just recently launched a travel blog; it is my dream to support myself through my writing in life (though I am always open to other things as well! I have considered acting, music––I play cello––and am open to just about anything that I find meaningful).

I also love football. The real kind––not American football.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn languages, musical instruments, and adventure sports. And any advice on my writing, if you want to read my work! Also cooking.

I can teach cello, European football, basic windsurfing, English Language, basic carpentry/handyman skills, and perhaps some cooking I have learned in my travels, but I am not an amazing cook.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well. . . . I am traveling the world and have only my one backpack with clothes and my computer. But always I hope I can share experiences and stories and teach you something you maybe want to learn!
