ABOUT ME
I study at UW-Madison which majorly conflicts with my true love: the outdoors. Give me some stars or a good fire and I'm set for the night. I've done a bit of traveling through Asia as well. While there I was fortunate enough to be able to trek through a Malaysian rainforest, swim in the Gulf of Thailand, and summit Mt. Hua in central China. During the school year my life is a bit more boring as I tutor high schoolers to make end's meat. I'm always stoked for snowboarding season. Music is a big part of my life and I love all sorts from indie to underground hip hop.
PHILOSOPHY
Help as many people as possible and live life selflessly. In the end it will all come back to you. Don't be afraid of people either. A vast majority of people are innately good no matter what the television propaganda tries to lead people to believe. Finally, as a general rule of thumb, if it's mainstream it is probably garbage.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm fairly new to the couchsurfing experience, so thus far I've only had the chance to enjoy the hospitality of others. Now that I'm back home I intend on perpetuating that hospitality.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had a crazy firework-filled couchsurfing experience and a chill bluegrass coffee-shop experience as well.
Interests
I absolutely love being outside and traveling. I spent the last summer doing an incredible amount of driving and hiking and living out of my car through 14 states. I'm interested in learning how to rock climb as well. Snowboarding is another love of mine although Wisconsin isn't the ideal location for it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Participating in a heli-rescue in the Badlands this summer was pretty crazy. Even crazier was the hailstorm I got stuck in mid-hike right after the rescue. Driving a moped around the rural island of Phu Quoc in Vietnam was pretty epic as well. Driving through the Snowy Range in Wyoming during a lightning storm was intense as well.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want ideas on how to live outside the box. I refuse to believe the only way to survive is to conform to a 40-hour work week and have fun on the side. This sounds like a fantastic waste of a life so please help me out and give me some ideas.
