ABOUT ME

Outgoing. Fun-loving. Adventurous. I've had a lot of experiences in life that are outside the normal range. I've never really worked what would be considered a "real job," but I do have a nursing degree and a business. My friends call me "genuine."

PHILOSOPHY

Don't judge. Be open minded. I am truly amazed by the world we live in. It is awesome, complex, intense, and so very much alive. Nothing is black and white, the colors are what make life so good. There are too many factors to have a completed formula, so I don't condone having the answer. I'm not very political. Balance is important in everything. Anything can be poisonous in too high of a dose. I'm inclined to believe there is something bigger than individual people. There is some undeniable connection between everything, if it's not just in mere existence...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed, and I've hosted while living in Glacier National Park (once I had 12 couchsurfers at my house at once!).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed three couches, one in Zurich, one in Rijeka, and one in Venice (just outside Venice), all really good experiences. I've hung out with local couchsurfers in the Portland area in the past.

Interests

mmm... backpacking, skiing, surfing, snowboarding, rockclimbing... shoot, anything outdoors basically. dancing. I love sitting by a fire of any kind. bridges, trees. Just walking without a destination and following my feet (pigeoning). writing:
We sit with folded hands, yesterday's today comes again, and again tomorrow.
Passion pursued or explored only within an arm's length.
Discovery is daunting, and so we sit.
And the sickness starts taking over.
Immobilized by stillness and consumption, we fatten.
We fatten ourselves in the golden calf caves of collection.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At Cape Kiwanda in Pacific City on the Oregon Coast, I saw the ocean crash out the 150+ ft bowl over the cape, and watched the howling wind slowly dispense the water that didn't know where to flow.

I was chased (playfully) by probably over a hundred little Indonesian tribal children up a tiny tree until my weight was too much for the thin tree and it boughed me down to the ground. CAUGHT! I slept in a 4 ft grass hut that night. (Papua New Guinea)

Hiked the entire Pacific Crest Trail.

good with writing, and words in general.. I've done quite a bit of tradework and small business endeavors, and I love to talk business. I can just juggle.
I'm learning the guitar and hoping to get more involved in music, cause music is awesome.
Dancing is the language of the soul, so let's dance.
