Slow to speak, quick to listen. If I could describe myself with one word... passionate.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't take life to seriously... You never make it out alive.. But you certainly can be alive while living.

Many people view the soul in a religious manner. I've had this thought, what if the soul is nothing more than our affect on eternity. I view things as relational. The choices I make now have an effect on/and in the most subtle ways. Therefore, to have a good soul... I should do the best I can with my time, and hope that leads to a better future for all.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

New, haven't participated in anything yet. What I do know is that I have seen a fraction of the world we live in. I was born in Kansas City, Missouri. Other than the handful of times that I have left this city I haven't seen much else. I hope to do some CS and then return the favor when I have an available space.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I know that while struggling with college, and working I've slept on one of my closest friends grandma's couch every other Friday, and she was a true blessing. A great woman and a great friend. That sums up my couch experience as of yet.

Interessi

In my free time... I study everything I can get my hands on. Currently, I'm reading a book on the semantics of language and thought. It's called the stuff of thought by Steven Pinker. (1/24/14) Recently, I've also read Working With Emotional intelligence, by Daniel Goleman. No book has ever touch my heart and mind more so than the experience of other people.

I have played the guitar for many years. I play some piano. I love the Moonlight Sonata and The Serenade... Beethoven and Schubert, respectively. I also practice oil painting, but I am no master.

I have a deep passion for education, and I think it can be reformed to be better. Remember, It's easier to build strong children than to repair broken men. I think it was Fredrick Douglas that said that.

Food, I'm definitely interested in food... and wine.

A few other things, I enjoy (even if I'm not great at them) surfing, snowboarding, soccer/futbol, singing, writing, and many more.

I have spent many years studying finance, accounting, music, and philosophy. One thing I wish that I could do really well is to cook. It makes me sad that I can't even make a spaghetti, and forget to make noodles. I'm actually getting ready to try to make a curry chicken Trinadad style... My friend Nicki is from there, and she's going to help :)
