About Me

CURRENT MISSION

-Make a home in Victoria, BC.
-Explore the Pacific Northwest.
-Read a book/watch a film/cook a recipe from every country in the world.

ABOUT ME

I grew up between the ocean and the forest in Victoria, British Columbia. After high school I moved to Halifax, NS, and have a deep love for both coasts. After that I lived in Ottawa, ON, where I learned to skate and appreciate true Canadian winters. I moved back to Victoria in 2017 and am grateful to be putting down roots in this beautiful city.

I like to spend my free time cooking, gardening, reading, swimming, hiking, playing music, listening to podcasts, and biking around the city. I identify as a progressive Christian, and care deeply about social justice and environmental stewardship.

I have a deep love of learning, whether it be from getting my head in a book, or from going out into the world to find new people and new places.

Kindness is key.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting and surfing. My partner and I recently moved to Victoria, and we hope to start hosting people again soon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a number of surfers in Ottawa and Halifax. In doing so, I've and made friends from Belgium, Germany, Italy and the USA -- the list continues to grow. I had a great time showing people around the places I've called home, but above all I've appreciated the stories, wisdom, and vibrant energy brought by every traveler who has stayed with me.

I've also had a great time surfing in New Brunswick, France and Spain in 2013, and still feel grateful for the generosity shown to be during my travels.
