About Me
Hello!
I am a 24 year old from Boston, USA taking a year off to travel and see the world. I received my degree in mechanical engineering and worked in my field for about a year before deciding that I wanted some adventure and took off on trip. Since then I have spent time in Hawaii, New Zealand, Thailand and Viet Nam. The experience so far has been incredible and I am looking forward to the next chapter! I will be traveling through Portugal, Spain, Italy and a few other stops as well. I'm excited to get to know the people, the culture and the natural beauty.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet interesting people with different experiences, lifestyles and passions. Part of this trip is to discover alternative ways of living, eating, working, etc outside of what we are used to in the states. Couchsurfing is a great way to gain exposure to that. Of course I will be looking for a place to sleep, but rather than book a hostel, couchsurfing will broaden my perspective of the country I'm in and introduce me to amazing people!
Interests
I love food. I'm interested in how it's grown, how it's harvested, how it's cooked and how it brings people together. I love to try new ingredients and the dishes of other cultures. Please share with me your favorite recipes and I'll share mine!
I enjoy exercising and keeping in shape. I am happiest when I'm feeling healthy and being active is key to that. My friends and I lift weights, play sports, go hiking, swimming, biking, whatever! Anytime I can get my blood pumping and break a sweat I'm happy. I'd like to do more stretching and yoga as well.
I'm also interested in meditation, being in the present, and eliminating negative thoughts from my mind. Every day I try to act with good intentions and love towards others. I'm always trying to improve myself in these areas.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like all kinds of music including hip hop, jazz, blues, americana, reggae, rock, etc. I love going to concerts and hearing new music so please share!
I enjoy all kinds of movies: comedies, thrillers, action, drama, anything!
I've recently been reading books relating to personal development such as Waking Up, The Power of Now, 4 Hour Work Week, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went on a Birthright trip to Israel and had such a fun, powerful and moving experience. It was a privilege to meet Israeli's and learn about their culture, history and lifestyles. We visited so many breathtaking places and had some introspective discussions that changed my priorities and perspectives. That trip showed me another side of the world and really inspired me to embark on this trip.
Teach, Learn, Share
I speak Spanish, so if you'd like to learn or have a conversation I'm always happy to have the extra practice. I also love cooking and sharing great food with other people, so if you're interested, let's have a feast! I'd like to learn about you: what you do for fun, for work, for health, etc. I also want to learn how to surf, how to dive and how to build furniture.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer good conversations, friendship and accommodations in Boston if you ever visit! I'll always be respectful and appreciative of your hospitality and I'll try to return the favor any way that I can.
