Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have had the travel bug ever since travelling with my parents when I was small. After finishing University, with a very interesting, but albeit useless, degree I got the first ticket I could to Australia. I have been travelling for the past two years around South-East Asia and India. Have recently had a few months back in England but have big plans to work and travel my way around the world.

I love getting to know the culture of each place I visit, especially meeting local people and seeing their side of the city/country. I have found that home-stays or even just chatting in a bar all-night long the best way to find out about a country.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Though not through the couch surfing website, I have stayed on many a friends couches - in England and abroad and love having people to stay at my house. There's nothing better than showing people the great things about the place you live in.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Hip-hop, garage, reggae, ska - list is endless, essentially anything with meaning
Books - Faves include Shantaram by Gregory D. Roberts, The Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger, The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini and How To Be A Woman by Catlin Moran

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was living in Australia I drove into the outback to Uluru, Ayres Rock - it was one of the most incredible things I have ever seen. Not only is it breathtaking - its huge! It's a very spiritual place, something you can't describe.

I continue to be amazed on our travels, from sprawling cities to secluded sunsets.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a bit of a sponge - willing to absorb what knowledge hosts have to offer.

I can offer my stories, thoughts, opinions, I opened a restaurant in Koh Lanta and can cook you up some veggie food!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Mostly I can share my love of travelling - exchanging tips, stories and opinions. I can share my love of food - both cooking and eating! As well as good conversation about anything and everything!
