Overview
About Me
I grew up on a seriously rural ranch in Arizona - we were drinking spring water and playing with rattlesnakes. After going to college in Colorado and learning to wear shoes in public (...mostly), I have been living in Texas, New Mexico and now California.
I like travel, meeting people, water sports, cool puzzles and craft beers.
I have been running my own consulting business recently and focus on technological change. The pace of change around us is stunning and I intend to be at the edge of innovation through our lifetime.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A place is defined by people and community, not architecture or location. I simply want to use Couchsurfing as a way to connect and learn about each unique place wherever I stay, and help fellow Couchsurfers do the same in turn.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Some friends and I helped some very talented highschoolers start a FRC robotics club. It was really cool to see the passion they had for making something, bringing a team together and improving themselves. And was great to be in a position where my background helped them succeed. The club took off and is doing well long after we moved on as well, I like that our initial efforts continue to compound a positive impact over time.
Punch line: take the things you are very good at and teach them to the people who have the potential to use them.
Additionally I have done some cool hikes and kayaking through the Grand Canyon, some skydiving and some sweet competitions in springboard diving & kayaking.
Teach, Learn, Share
A man’s Life must be nailed to a cross either of Thought or Action. Without work there is no play.
― Winston S. Churchill
In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.
