About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm a simple guy. I like movies, fantasy/sci-fi books, drawing, music that makes me want to dance, or maybe cry a little, Dungeons and Dragons(yes, I'm totally a nerd, but also very socially apt), Star Wars AND Star Trek(but I prefer SW), camping, swimming any chance I get, walking through the city's amazing parks, photography, Tumblr, and ice cream.
I'm a liberal-minded individual. I hold the right for every citizen to be treated with equality and not bias as one of my very core beliefs in life. I find prejudice based on gender, sexuality, ethnicity, class, and the like, to be completely abhorrent, and would hope that people I engage with do as well.
I work in Seattle, in the Capitol Hill area, and basically really enjoy my job. I do volunteer work for a local community non profit organization. I have good friends that I love, and I try to keep an upbeat and positive attitude whenever possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Sometimes my schedule can have some last minute changes, and I occasionally need a place near(ish) work to crash for the night. I love meeting new people, and I fully support the "Couchsurfing.com" concept and community.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music would be too much to list. It's very important to me. I love music from almost all genres. Some favorite musicians would include Beyonce, Elton John, The Mamas and the Papas, Supertramp, Cher, Bette Midler, Fleetwood Mac, Beach Boys, Beatles, Tori Amos, Alanis Morrisette, Simon and Garfunkel, TinaTurner, and the list goes on and on.
Favorite books again is a huge list. I often prefer urban fantasy(aka modern day monster fiction), sci-fi, mysteries, and the like. Some favorite authors include Jim Butcher, Laurell K Hamilton, Lloyd Alexander, Susan Cooper, Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, and so on.
Movies? All kinds, but I don't care for horror/gore/thrillers. I like adventure, comedy, sci-fi/fantasy, musicals, animation, and romcoms, to name a few. My favorite movie of all time is The Color Purple. If you haven't seen it yet, get a box of tissues, some chocolate ice cream, and a stuffed teddy bear, and go treat yourself to an amazing piece of film.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I haven't done much traveling in my life, sadly. But one of the most amazing experiences of my life was going to New York with an acting workshop for a week when I was 17. I saw a lot of Broadway shows, got to meet professional theater/musical actors, and take classes at several of the most prestigious schools in NY. It was incredible, and I'll never forget every moment of that trip.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I think I'm pleasant and funny company to have. I'm self-sufficient. I bring with me all the essentials(except perhaps a blanket) and all I really ever need is a place to lay down, some wifi to connect to, if possible, and perhaps a friendly host to chat a little bit about life, the universe, and everything.
