About Me

I'm a laid back nerd with an affinity for tattoos and two-wheeled vehicles. I like art and music and nature. I'm pretty low key, and open to lots of new things. I like good company, good drinks, and good food, in that order. I like it when stuff happens.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new to this whole thing. Looking to meet some cool new people and go on a few adventures.

Interests

Tattoos, art, digital art, street art, computers/technology, music, people, travel (obviously), learning learning learning. Ive lived in cities my whole life and am kind of green when hiking/camping but really enjoy them.

Music, Movies, and Books

My two favorite bands are Death From Above 1979 and Sigur Ros. I also really like Queens of the Stone Age, the Pixies, Postal Service, Air, The White Stripes, Black Keys, Hockey, Two Door Cinema Club, Fuck Buttons, Holy Fuck, Holy Ghost, Caribou, Ghostland Observatory, Jay-Z and a lot more... I'm one of the few people I know who can actually listen to nearly anything - even some (read: *some*) country.

My favorite movie is definitely Fight Club. Some others at the top of the list: Snatch, Requiem for a Dream, Kids, American History X, 300, Sin City, Kill Bill, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Crash, The Goonies, Superbad, or pretty much any well-made documentary. I'm kind of a documentary nerd.

My favorite books are On the Road, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Fahrenheit 451, The Tipping Point, and of course, Fight Club. And any book on photographers or street art.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was jet-skiing off of the coast of Mexico a few years ago and a whale breached about 25 meters away from me - it was terrifying and amazing at the same time.
